Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise nursing staff in the Day Services Oncology department
- Coordinate patient care plans and treatment schedules for oncology day services
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, pharmacists, and support staff
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for patient safety and care delivery
- Participate in staff development, training, and performance management
- Oversee resource allocation and departmental budget management
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registered General Nurse qualification with current NMBI registration
- Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience
- Relevant management or leadership experience in healthcare setting
- Fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in oncology or day services nursing preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification in Nursing Management or Oncology
- Previous experience in Clinical Nurse Manager role
- Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement initiatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems
