- Manage and coordinate the delivery of nursing care on Tullig Ward, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Be registered in the General division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or be entitled to be so registered.
- Have a minimum of five years post-registration nursing experience, of which two years must be in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, organise, and manage nursing services effectively.
- Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative competencies required for the role.
- Fulfil the requirements of the Health Act 2004, as amended, in respect of the competencies specified for this grade.
- Candidates must have good knowledge of current issues in nursing practice and healthcare policy.
Salary
This post is remunerated in accordance with the HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (General) salary scale (Grade Code 2119), effective 1 June 2026: €62,699 – €79,227 per annum (11-point scale). Long Service Increments (LSIs) are applicable beyond the maximum of the standard scale for qualifying staff.

University Hospital Kerry (UHK) is the principal acute hospital in County Kerry, providing a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services to the local and regional population. Tullig Ward is a medical ward within UHK, operating under the HSE South West health region. The hospital is located in Tralee and is a key site within the HSE South West acute hospital network.
