Job Overview
This Clinical Nurse Specialist Children’s Cork opportunity with LauraLynn offers a rewarding role supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the Munster region. The successful candidate will deliver specialist palliative nursing care, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure compassionate, high-quality, family-centred services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist nursing assessment, planning and delivery of children’s palliative care.
- Support children and families across home, community and healthcare settings.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care plans.
- Offer education, advice and clinical leadership to nursing and healthcare colleagues.
- Participate in service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Promote best practice in children’s palliative and end-of-life care.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (Children’s) with active NMBI registration.
- Recognised qualification relevant to Clinical Nurse Specialist grade.
- Minimum clinical experience as required for CNS (Children’s) 2626 grade.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric and/or palliative care nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full driving licence may be required for community-based service delivery.
