Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Specialist CNM2 Endocrine Dublin role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialist endocrine nursing care within Children’s Health Ireland. This permanent part-time position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, child-centred care across the HSE Dublin and Midlands region.
This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is advertised by the HSE on behalf of a publicly funded Section 38 organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist endocrine nursing care to paediatric patients and their families.
- Lead and support evidence-based clinical practice within the endocrine service.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Deliver patient and family education on endocrine conditions and treatment plans.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical audit initiatives.
- Support staff education and professional development within the service.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Endocrine Nursing or a related specialty (or working towards same).
- Minimum required clinical experience appropriate to CNM2 grade.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric and/or endocrine nursing practice.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned to the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119) scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025) :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}.
The current annual salary scale ranges from:
- €61,463 – €77,666 (LSI) per annum (pro-rata for part-time hours)
