The Rehab Group is recruiting a Community Support Worker (Disability) for a permanent whole-time position in Waterford. Role Overview
As a Community Support Worker, you will work directly with individuals with disabilities, providing person-centred support that promotes independence, community participation, and personal development. You will collaborate with service users, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality supports tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities.
- Assist service users in achieving personal goals and maximising independence.
- Support participation in community, social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care and support planning.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, equality, and best practice at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements / Qualifications
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to person-centred practice and community inclusion.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is desirable.
Salary
Competitive pay. As a Section 39 employer, The Rehab Group is not bound by HSE consolidated salary scales, and no salary scale has been specified in the advertisement.
Location
This role is based in Waterford within HSE Dublin and South East. You will support individuals within community-based disability services, helping to promote inclusion, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
