An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Radiologist Letterkenny at Letterkenny University Hospital, part of HSE West and North West. This permanent wholetime role offers 37 hours per week within a dynamic acute hospital setting serving Donegal and surrounding counties. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services across acute and elective care settings.
- Report and interpret a broad range of imaging modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound and general radiography.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case discussions.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and governance initiatives.
- Supervise and support NCHDs and radiography staff.
- Participate in on-call rotas as required.
- Engage in teaching, training and continuing professional development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a Specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Irish Medical Council in Radiology.
- Significant experience in diagnostic radiology at consultant level or equivalent.
- Demonstrated expertise across relevant imaging modalities.
- Strong leadership, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to clinical governance, audit and patient safety standards.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Consultant remuneration is aligned with the HSE Consultant salary scale in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025) . Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and point on the approved Consultant scale.
