Job Overview
This Director of Public Health Nursing Assistant position is a permanent whole-time opportunity within HSE Dublin and Midlands. Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership within Public Health Nursing Services
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of community healthcare services
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary nursing and healthcare teams
- Promote high standards of patient care, governance, and clinical practice
- Contribute to strategic healthcare planning and service improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Significant senior nursing leadership and management experience
- Strong understanding of public health nursing and community healthcare services
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex healthcare operations and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in service development, governance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary Benefits and Working Hours
Salary will be aligned with the Director of Nursing 4 2907 and Director of Public Health Nursing Assistant 281X pay scales within the HSE.
