The Executive Assistant Grade V role at Dr Steevens Hospital supports senior leadership within National Public Health. This is a permanent, wholetime opportunity for experienced administrative professionals seeking to work in a high-level, fast-paced project environment within the public health service.
This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient coordination, communication, and executive support at senior management level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative and executive support to senior management within National Public Health.
- Manage complex diaries, scheduling, and correspondence efficiently.
- Draft professional communications including emails, letters, and formal responses.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefing documents, and meeting documentation.
- Draft accurate minutes of meetings and follow up on action points.
- Assist with responses to Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information requests.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project coordination in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant administrative experience in a busy project-based environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in email systems and ICT platforms.
- Strong professional writing skills with experience handling formal correspondence.
- Experience preparing reports, drafting minutes, and managing documentation.
- Experience collaborating with senior management and key stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

- Salary aligned to HSE Grade V (0566) consolidated pay scale (effective 1 August 2025)
