University Hospital Limerick is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to lead the Medical Day Beds/Bronchoscopy service. Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Medical Day Beds and Bronchoscopy unit.
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care in line with HSE policies and national standards.
- Manage staffing, rostering, and workforce planning within the department.
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
- Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Support staff development, mentorship, and performance management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with relevant acute clinical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience at senior staff nurse or management level.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage change and service improvement initiatives.
- Postgraduate qualification in nursing or healthcare management (desirable).
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) pay scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025).
Scale (effective 1 August 2025):
€61,463 – €77,666 (LSI) per annum
