University Hospital Limerick is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to lead the Medical Day Beds/Bronchoscopy service. Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Medical Day Beds and Bronchoscopy unit.
Ensure safe, high-quality patient care in line with HSE policies and national standards.
Manage staffing, rostering, and workforce planning within the department.
Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
Support staff development, mentorship, and performance management.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register.
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with relevant acute clinical experience.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience at senior staff nurse or management level.
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage change and service improvement initiatives.
Postgraduate qualification in nursing or healthcare management (desirable).

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary is aligned with the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) pay scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025).

Scale (effective 1 August 2025):
€61,463 – €77,666 (LSI) per annum
