Cork University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join the Acute Medical Decision Unit on the Acute Floor. This permanent wholetime role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses to take on a leadership position within one of Ireland’s busiest acute hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage nursing staff within the Acute Medical Decision Unit
• Support high-quality, patient-focused care in a fast-paced acute setting
• Coordinate daily clinical operations and workflow
• Ensure adherence to HSE clinical governance and safety standards
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide mentorship, supervision, and performance management for nursing staff
• Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Minimum relevant post-registration experience in acute nursing
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of HSE policies, clinical governance, and best practice standards
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, high-acuity environment
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
HSE CNM2 Salary Scale (from 1 August 2025): €61,463–€77,666 per annum, including LSI for eligible staff
