An excellent leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join the Medical Assessment Unit at Mallow General Hospital. This permanent, wholetime role is ideal for a senior nurse seeking to lead high-quality patient care within a dynamic acute setting.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in clinical governance, staff leadership, and service development within the Medical Assessment Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing services within the Medical Assessment Unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care
• Manage staffing, rostering, and skill mix to meet service demands
• Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development
• Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement, and risk management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
• Uphold HSE policies, procedures, and professional standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register (General Division)
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant acute medical experience
• At least 2 years’ experience at CNM1 level or equivalent leadership role
• Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Desirable: Management or leadership qualification

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale (CNM2 – Grade 2119): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI inclusive), in line with HSE consolidated pay scales
