This Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Mental Health role offers an excellent leadership opportunity within HSE South West across Cork and Kerry. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused mental health services while supporting nursing teams and ensuring safe, person-centred care.
As a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Mental Health), you will provide professional and clinical leadership within multidisciplinary settings, ensuring best practice standards and contributing to continuous service improvement across mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership within Mental Health Services.
- Manage and coordinate patient care delivery to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
- Support, supervise and develop nursing staff within the service.
- Promote evidence-based practice and adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support integrated service delivery.
- Ensure effective resource management and workforce planning.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and risk management processes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum required post-registration experience in mental health services.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience at senior nursing level.
- Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary Scale (February 2026): €62,078 – €78,443 (LSI applicable) in line with HSE consolidated pay scales.
