Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join Mental Health Services in Waterford. As a senior clinical leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred psychiatric care to children and adolescents while contributing to service development within the region. Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents
- Lead multidisciplinary teams within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- Develop and implement care plans in line with best clinical practice
- Contribute to service planning, improvement, and strategic development
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality standards
- Engage in teaching, research, and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a Specialist in the Specialist Division of the Medical Council (Psychiatry)
- Significant experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Strong leadership and multidisciplinary team management skills
- Excellent clinical, communication, and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement
- Eligibility to work in Ireland

Salary: Competitive pay
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Permanent Wholetime)
