The Muiriosa Foundation is seeking a creative and dynamic Digital Accessibility and Assistive Technology Coordinator to support people with intellectual disabilities to communicate, participate, and live life on their own terms. This permanent, whole-time Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) role plays a key leadership function in embedding assistive technology and inclusive digital practices across services.
Working collaboratively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams, you will champion technology as a tool for independence, autonomy, and equality in line with the UNCRPD.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of assistive technology solutions across services
• Support individuals to access technology that enhances communication, participation, and quality of life
• Work collaboratively with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide education, guidance, and practical support to staff on digital accessibility
• Assess individual needs and recommend appropriate assistive technologies
• Promote inclusive, rights-based approaches aligned with UNCRPD principles
• Contribute to service development, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Maintain professional, ethical, and evidence-based practice standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RNID preferred) with relevant professional registration
• Eligibility for appointment at Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) grade
• Demonstrated experience in intellectual disability services
• Strong interest or experience in assistive technology and digital accessibility
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work creatively and think outside traditional models of support
• Full driving licence and flexibility to work across multiple locations

• Salary in line with Department of Health CNM1 / Social Care Manager 1 pay scales (August 2025), commensurate with qualifications and experience
