The Grade VII Patient Safety Coordinator at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore plays a pivotal leadership role in strengthening quality and patient safety systems across the hospital. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate patient safety and quality improvement initiatives across hospital services.
  • Support the implementation of national and regional HSE quality and safety frameworks.
  • Drive performance improvement projects aligned to hospital strategic objectives.
  • Analyse data, interpret trends, and produce high-quality reports to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor compliance with patient safety standards and governance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to embed best practice.
  • Support incident management processes and learning systems.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve service objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading change and performance improvement initiatives in the health sector.
  • Strong experience in data measurement, analysis, and report production.
  • Proven ability to lead or manage teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to support safe, effective, and efficient hospital service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary is aligned with the HSE Grade VII (0582) payscale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025) :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} and will be commensurate with experience and service.
