University Hospital Waterford is recruiting Staff Grade Occupational Therapists for a Permanent Whole-Time role within acute hospital services. This supplementary campaign is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants, offering an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across acute services
• Develop and implement individualised treatment and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise students and support junior staff as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to register)
• Relevant clinical experience in an acute hospital setting (desirable)
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: HSE Staff Grade Occupational Therapist pay scale (Grade 3298) in line with Department of Health consolidated salary scales effective 1 August 2025
• Contract: Permanent Whole-Time
