A senior leadership opportunity is now available for a Physiotherapist Manager Mullingar at Regional Hospital Mullingar. This permanent wholetime position offers the chance to lead and develop physiotherapy services within a key acute hospital in the HSE Dublin and Midlands region.
This role is ideal for an experienced clinical leader with a strong track record in service delivery, quality improvement, and change management within physiotherapy services.
Job Overview
The Physiotherapist-in-Charge (Grade III) will provide strategic and operational leadership for physiotherapy services at Regional Hospital Mullingar. The successful candidate will oversee clinical governance, service development, and multidisciplinary collaboration while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
This is a 1.0 WTE permanent position. A panel may be formed to fill current and future vacancies of full or part-time duration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction in the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services
- Lead clinical governance, service planning, and operational management
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and service development projects
- Manage and support physiotherapy staff, including supervision and performance management
- Ensure compliance with national policies, standards, and professional guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
- Contribute to strategic planning within the hospital and wider health region
- Manage resources effectively to ensure efficient service delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Eligible for registration with CORU as a Physiotherapist
- Significant senior clinical physiotherapy experience
- Depth and breadth of experience leading clinical service delivery and/or change in physiotherapy services
- Demonstrated experience leading quality initiatives within a clinical service
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience in staff supervision and service management
- Proven ability to manage complex clinical environments
