Join Aurivo, one of Ireland’s leading agri-businesses and retailers. We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Homeland Sligo store team. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on outstanding customer service, merchandising, and operational support across multiple departments.
About the Role
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll report to the Homeland Branch Manager and help deliver excellent customer care across departments including Plant, Homeware, Clothing, Garden, and Centre Point. You’ll ensure transactions are efficient, displays are appealing, and every visitor enjoys a positive in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer queries and maintain strong relationships.
- Process sales transactions and manage cash accurately.
- Maintain stock control and assist with inventory management.
- Merchandise shelves and promotional areas to company standards.
- Develop product knowledge across all store departments.
- Complete ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
- Uphold Aurivo’s values and contribute to team success.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Previous retail or sales experience.
- Strong customer service and people skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Flexible attitude toward working hours.
Preferred
- Experience in agri-retail, home, or garden environments.
- Familiarity with stock systems or POS software.
