Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Dietitian to join the Paediatric Directorate at Regional Hospital Mullingar. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality dietetic care to children and their families across inpatient and outpatient services. This role offers the chance to shape and advance paediatric dietetic services within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist paediatric dietetic assessment and intervention for inpatients and outpatients
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care
- Lead and support the development of paediatric dietetic services
- Supervise and mentor junior dietetic staff where required
- Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nutrition care plans
- Participate in service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Dietetics and registration with CORU
- Significant post-qualification experience in dietetics, including paediatrics
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €64,551 – €76,007 per annum (based on HSE Senior Dietitian scale)
Permanent Wholetime position

This role is based at Regional Hospital Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, within the HSE Dublin and Midlands region.
