The HSE Dublin and Midlands is seeking an experienced Senior Health Promotion and Improvement Officer to lead and deliver national and evidence-based programmes that improve population health and wellbeing. This senior role offers regional impact, cross-sector collaboration, and long-term career progression within Ireland’s public health system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and implementation of national health promotion policies and programmes
• Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based health improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders across the region
• Provide strategic advice on health promotion priorities and service development
• Contribute to regional and national planning, reporting, and governance structures
• Support multidisciplinary teams to achieve agreed public health outcomes
• Travel frequently across the Dublin and Midlands region as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience delivering national policies, best practice, or evidence-based health programmes
• Proven experience managing and coordinating multiple stakeholders
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to analyse data and apply evidence to service improvement
• Access to transport and flexibility to travel regionally
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Salary: As per HSE Health Promotion and Improvement Officer – Senior (Grade 6300) consolidated pay scale (1 August 2025 rates apply)
• Hours: Whole-time permanent post

Location & Employer Information

This role is based in Tallaght, Dublin 24, with responsibility across the HSE Dublin and Midlands region, covering Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Laois, Kildare, parts of Dublin South, and Wicklow.
