An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior House Officer (SHO) to join Radiation Oncology services in Dublin South. This fixed-term, whole-time post offers high-quality clinical exposure within a multidisciplinary HSE setting and is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day clinical care to patients under consultant supervision
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings
• Support radiotherapy and oncology treatment pathways
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Contribute to on-call and rostered duties as required
• Engage in audit, teaching, and service improvement activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Medical degree recognised by the Medical Council of Ireland
• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of Ireland
• Completed Internship and relevant SHO experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated interest or experience in Oncology (desirable)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale: Senior House Officer (Grade 1012)
• €54,203 – €74,133 per annum (1 August 2025 scale, point dependent)
• Fixed Term, Whole-Time contract

• Participation in HSE-approved on-call arrangements
