This Senior Orthoptist position supports integrated eye care services across Tipperary South and Waterford, including community and hospital-based settings. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced orthoptic assessments and treatments across community and hospital settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals
- Support the implementation of integrated eye care models across service locations
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior staff and students
- Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical governance
- Participate in service planning, development, and quality improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Orthoptics
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body
- Significant clinical experience in ophthalmology
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of orthoptic expertise relevant to a senior role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience in service development or leadership is desirable
