Job Overview
Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist required for a permanent part-time (0.8 WTE) position within HSE Dublin and South East. This role supports Primary Care Paediatric Services across Wexford (CHN10) and New Ross (CHN8), delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care to children with complex and non-complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist paediatric physiotherapy services within Primary Care and/or Disability settings.
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based treatment plans for children with physical and sensory disabilities.
- Manage a varied caseload including complex and non-complex presentations.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across Community Healthcare Networks.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance within the paediatric physiotherapy service.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Travel between Wexford Primary Care Centre and New Ross Health Centre as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Eligible for registration as a Physiotherapist with CORU.
- High level of clinical knowledge and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a specialist paediatric setting.
- Experience managing children with complex and non-complex physical and sensory disabilities.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Full driver’s licence and access to transport (as service demands require cross-site work).

Location & Employer Information
This position is within HSE Dublin and South East, covering Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford. The successful candidate will work on set days across two bases: Wexford Primary Care Centre (CHN10) and New Ross Health Centre (CHN8), with flexibility required in line with service needs.
