Mallow General Hospital is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Ref: MGHST93604) to join its multidisciplinary team in Cork. This permanent whole-time opportunity offers the chance to lead and deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services within HSE South West, supporting patients across acute and community pathways.

Key Responsibilities

Provide senior-level speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and intervention.
Manage a defined caseload and prioritise referrals appropriately.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated patient care.
Supervise and support junior staff and students as required.
Contribute to service planning, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE policies.
Participate in audit, research and service development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Qualification recognised by CORU for Speech and Language Therapy.
Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with CORU.
Relevant post-qualification clinical experience suitable for Senior grade.
Demonstrated leadership, organisational and communication skills.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
Full driving licence and access to transport may be required.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Grade: Speech and Language Therapist – Senior (Code 3379).
Salary: In line with HSE consolidated pay scales (August 2025 revision) :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}.
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime.
