Job Overview
The successful candidate will work within the Emergency Department at Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise, supporting emergency and acute patient services in a busy hospital setting. As part of the nursing and midwifery team, the Staff Nurse will contribute to patient assessment, treatment planning, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the delivery of safe and efficient emergency care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care within the Emergency Department environment
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients presenting with urgent and acute medical conditions

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of post registration experience in an Emergency Department within an acute setting
- Strong clinical assessment and emergency nursing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
