Job Overview
This Staff Nurse Leitrim position involves delivering high-quality nursing care to residents while supporting their physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. You will work collaboratively within a nursing team to ensure best practice standards and compliance with professional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents on a daily basis
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Promote residents’ independence in activities of daily living
- Ensure a comfortable, safe and stimulating environment
- Administer medications in line with An Bord Altranais guidelines
- Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct for each nurse
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid Bord Altranais PIN (required)
- Experience in venipuncture
- Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills
- Basic Life Support certification
- Emergency room experience (desirable)
- Fluent English (required)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Pay: From €21.00 per hour
- Permanent, Full-time contract
- Expected hours: 36–48 hours per week
- In-person role based in Leitrim
