The Health Service Executive is inviting applications for the position of Staff Nurse (General) within the Surgical Hub at Swords Business Campus, Dublin North. This is a permanent wholetime opportunity within HSE Dublin and North East.
This Staff Nurse Dublin North role is offered as a confined competition and is open only to candidates permanently appointed in the same grade within the HSE. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality surgical nursing care within a dynamic and patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care within the Surgical Hub setting
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in line with HSE standards
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies
- Support clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Be permanently appointed as a Staff Nurse (General) Grade 2135 within the HSE (confined competition requirement)
- Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI
- Demonstrate post-registration clinical experience relevant to surgical services
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement
