The Grade IV Medical Secretary Wexford role offers an excellent opportunity to join the Wexford Chronic Disease Team within HSE Dublin and South East. Based in Enniscorthy Primary Care Centre, this permanent whole-time position supports a Consultant-led multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centred chronic disease services.
This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who thrives in a busy, patient-facing clinical environment and has strong organisational and IT skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant Lead and multidisciplinary team.
- Manage patient correspondence, clinic scheduling, and appointment coordination.
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual patient records in line with data protection requirements.
- Prepare reports, letters, and documentation using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Support clinical governance and quality assurance processes.
- Assist in the coordination of multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a patient-facing multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Experience supporting a Consultant-led multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Relevant administrative qualifications are desirable.

There are currently two permanent whole-time vacancies available. A panel may be formed from this campaign to fill future permanent and specified purpose vacancies (full-time or part-time), subject to HSE restructuring.
