Grade V Cyber Security Analyst @ HSE

The Grade V Cyber Security Analyst HSE role offers an exciting opportunity to join the national Technology & Transformation function within the Health Service Executive. This permanent wholetime position plays a key role in safeguarding critical health ICT infrastructure across multiple locations in Ireland.

This is an internal campaign open only to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies as per WRC Agreement 161867.

Job Overview

As a Grade V Cyber Security Analyst, you will support the protection, monitoring, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity systems within the HSE. You will work as part of a national ICT team, contributing to secure service delivery across healthcare settings.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong ICT experience who are passionate about protecting healthcare systems and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring and analysis of security alerts and incidents across HSE ICT systems.
  • Assist in implementing cybersecurity controls and best practices.
  • Contribute to vulnerability management and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security processes and incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal ICT teams to strengthen system resilience.
  • Assist in compliance activities aligned with national and EU regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing cybersecurity awareness and improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in ICT, cybersecurity, or information security environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and threat monitoring.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary ICT team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Eligibility restricted to HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 or statutory health agency employees.
