The Grade V ICT Helpdesk Services Cork role at Cork University Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy ICT Department within one of Ireland’s leading acute hospitals. This permanent wholetime position plays a key role in supporting clinical and administrative staff with reliable, responsive IT support services.
Working within HSE South West, you will contribute to maintaining efficient ICT infrastructure and delivering frontline helpdesk support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line ICT helpdesk support to hospital staff across clinical and administrative areas.
- Log, track and resolve ICT incidents and service requests in line with service level agreements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and system issues.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate ICT teams where necessary.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration and maintenance of ICT equipment.
- Support user account management, access control and security protocols.
- Contribute to ICT documentation, reporting and service improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant ICT qualification or equivalent experience appropriate to a Grade V role.
- Experience in ICT helpdesk or technical support within a large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and common business applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary ICT team.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.

- Salary aligned with HSE Grade V (0566) pay scale in accordance with the Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025)
