The Rehab Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Care Worker to join its disability services team across Tipperary, Limerick and Clare. This permanent part-time opportunity is ideal for candidates who are committed to supporting people with disabilities to live independently, achieve their personal goals, and participate fully in their communities.
Role Overview
As a Care Worker, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, inclusion, dignity, and quality of life. Working closely with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams, you will assist service users in achieving meaningful outcomes while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities.
- Assist with daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.
- Support individuals in accessing education, employment, social, and community activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual support plans.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies at all times.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum QQI Level 5 in Social Care or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to supporting people with disabilities using a person-centred approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Salary
Competitive pay. As this is a Section 39 employer, salary arrangements are determined by The Rehab Group and are not bound by HSE pay scales. Pay will be pro-rata in line with this permanent part-time position.
Location
This position is based within The Rehab Group’s disability services across North Tipperary, with services extending throughout Limerick and Clare within the HSE Mid West region. The successful candidate will support individuals in community-based settings that encourage independence, inclusion, and active participation.
