The successful Healthcare Assistant / Carer will deliver high-quality home support services while building trusted relationships with clients and their families. This role offers meaningful community impact alongside ongoing professional development and flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support including mobility assistance, dressing support, and continence care
- Assist clients with meal preparation and light housekeeping duties
- Provide medication reminders and maintain accurate care records
- Travel between client visits within the local Sligo area
- Monitor client wellbeing and report concerns to management promptly
- Build professional and supportive relationships with clients and families
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy standards at all times
- Deliver person-centred care with dignity, empathy, and professionalism
Required Skills & Qualifications
- EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland is essential
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is desirable
- Applicants without QQI Level 5 will receive full support to complete training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic, dependable, and professional approach to care
- Commitment to confidentiality and high-quality person-centred support
- B Driving Licence is beneficial
- Ability to work independently within the community
