Healthcare Assistant – County Kerry
St. John of God Community Services is recruiting Healthcare Assistants for a number of permanent full-time opportunities across County Kerry. These exciting positions support the opening of new residential services during 2026/2027, as well as vacancies on the Beaufort campus. Role Overview
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support adults with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives while promoting dignity, inclusion, and choice. You will contribute to high-quality residential care in modern, purpose-built facilities and help create meaningful daily experiences for the people supported by the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality person-centred care and support.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
- Promote independence, inclusion, and community participation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate records and follow organisational policies and procedures.

Requirements

- Relevant qualifications and experience required for Healthcare Assistant roles.
Salary
€34,881 – €48,434 per annum (Care Assistant (Disability Services) Grade 6482, 13-point HSE-aligned salary scale, plus Long Service Increment where applicable). Salary is based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026. As this is a Section 38 employer, HSE-aligned salary scales apply.
Location
County Kerry, including new residential services opening during 2026/2027 and the Beaufort campus. Successful candidates will join a team of more than 450 staff providing high-quality disability services throughout the county.

Permanent, Whole-time.
