About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant with Connected Health Ireland, you’ll provide essential support to individuals requiring assistance with daily tasks and personal care, helping them maintain their independence in their own homes. This rewarding role offers structured career progression with full training provided – no prior experience necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities for clients in their homes
- Support clients with mobility, medication reminders, and meal preparation as required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
- Follow individual care plans and ensure client dignity and respect at all times
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Travel between client locations throughout the Sligo area
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Full driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle
- Good standard of English (both spoken and written)
- Availability to work alternative weekends
- Genuine compassion and commitment to caring for others
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of paid home care experience
- QQI Level 5 qualification (Care Skills and Care of the Older Person)
- Previous experience in healthcare or social care settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
What We Offer
Competitive Pay Structure
- Full QQI (8 Modules): €16 Mon-Fri, €18 Weekends
- 2 QQI Modules: €15 Mon-Fri, €17 Weekends
- Travel Allowance: €1.35 per hour worked + 25 cent per KM
