Job Overview

The Maintenance Foreman Carlow role offers an excellent opportunity to lead maintenance operations within a large and complex healthcare environment. Based in Carlow as part of HSE Dublin & South East, this permanent whole-time position is responsible for supervising maintenance staff and contractors while ensuring buildings and associated plant systems operate safely and efficiently.

This role is vital in maintaining high-quality healthcare facilities that support patient care and frontline services.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors across assigned facilities
Oversee maintenance of large-scale and complex buildings and associated plant
Coordinate construction and refurbishment works as required
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safe working practices
Monitor preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
Maintain accurate records and reports relating to maintenance activities
Support service delivery through effective planning and resource management

Required Skills & Qualifications

Demonstrated depth and breadth of supervisory experience relevant to the role
Experience in maintenance of large-scale and complex buildings and associated plant
Experience in construction and maintenance of complex buildings
Minimum of two years’ experience supervising staff and contractors
SOLAS Safe Pass Health & Safety Awareness Training Programme completed or willingness to undertake training upon appointment
Full, unendorsed Category B Driver’s Licence (as the role may involve driving HSE vehicles)
