Multi Task Attendant – Administration Department – Dublin | HSE

We are seeking a dedicated Multi Task Attendant for our Administration Department to support our busy hospital operations in a permanent, full-time capacity.

About the Role

As a Multi Task Attendant in our Administration Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of hospital administrative functions. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work within Ireland’s national health service, contributing to quality healthcare delivery while developing your career in a supportive healthcare environment. You will report to the Administration Department supervisors and work as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across multiple departments within the hospital setting
  • Manage filing systems, documentation, and record-keeping for various administrative processes
  • Assist with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and general reception duties as required
  • Support departmental staff with clerical tasks, data entry, and correspondence management
  • Maintain accurate inventory of office supplies and administrative materials
  • Assist with mail distribution, telephone duties, and general office maintenance tasks
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and healthcare administrative standards

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent educational qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in administrative or clerical support roles
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or hospital environment
  • Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures
  • Experience with healthcare information systems or patient management software
  • Additional administrative qualifications or relevant training courses
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately
