Job Overview
The Registrar Oncology July 2026 role offers hands-on clinical experience in oncology within a multidisciplinary hospital environment. The successful candidate will support consultant-led oncology services, participate in acute medical care, and contribute to patient-centred treatment planning.
This post is based at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, part of the HSE Dublin and Midlands region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care to oncology patients under consultant supervision
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient oncology services
- Assist in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of oncology cases
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HSE policies
- Participate in on-call rotas as required
- Support clinical audits, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
- Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in medicine
- Demonstrated interest or experience in oncology
- Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Eligibility to work in Ireland

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Registrar (Grade 1538) salary scale effective 1 August 2025, ranging from:
€68,891 to €81,126 per annum, depending on experience
