Job Overview
This Senior Dietitian role within the Finglas CDNT involves delivering evidence-based dietetic assessment, intervention, and management plans for children with a wide range of developmental and complex care needs. Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist dietetic assessment and intervention for children attending the Children Disability Network Team.
- Develop and implement individualised nutritional care plans in partnership with children, families, and carers.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Support children with feeding difficulties, growth concerns, complex nutritional requirements, and disability-related dietary needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with HSE standards and professional guidelines.
- Participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement activities, and clinical audits.
- Provide professional guidance and support to junior staff and students where required.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and integrated care planning across community services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Qualification recognised by CORU for registration as a Dietitian.
- CORU registration as a Dietitian or eligibility for registration.
- Relevant post-qualification clinical experience suitable for Senior Grade level.
- Experience working with paediatric, disability, or community healthcare services is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisational, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload within a busy clinical environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Knowledge of HSE policies, clinical governance, and disability service frameworks is advantageous.
Salary, Benefits and Working Hours
Salary will be aligned with the HSE Senior Dietitian Grade 3395 pay scale.
