Job Overview
The successful candidate will support the delivery of daily care services while ensuring residents receive attentive, person-centred support in accordance with established care plans. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to supervise and assist within a busy nursing home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents in line with individual care plans
- Assist with supervising healthcare support activities within the nursing home environment
- Support residents with daily living and personal care needs
- Maintain accurate reporting and communication with the care team
- Follow all workplace policies, procedures, and healthcare standards
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect in all resident interactions
- Work collaboratively with healthcare staff to ensure excellent resident outcomes
- Maintain flexible availability to support operational care requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- FETAC Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or Healthcare Support
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a nursing home environment
- Strong understanding of resident care and support practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy character
- Ability to follow instructions and report effectively
- Valid permission to work in Ireland
- Driving licence preferred
- Two professional references required
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This is a full-time healthcare position offering competitive pay ranging from €16 to €22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role provides the opportunity to work within a supportive nursing home setting focused on quality resident care and professional teamwork.
