St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) is recruiting a Senior Medical Social Worker (Grade 3019) to join its team in a permanent part-time capacity (0.5 WTE). Role Overview
This is a permanent 0.5 WTE Senior Medical Social Worker position based at St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network, operating under the HSE Dublin and Midlands region. The post is centred on the implementation and support of Assisted Decision Making frameworks in line with the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 as amended. The successful candidate will work with patients requiring support in exercising their decision-making rights within a radiation oncology and acute hospital context.

Salary
This post is remunerated in accordance with the HSE consolidated pay scales for Social Worker, Senior Medical (Grade 3019), effective 1 June 2026 (DoH Circular 2/2026). As a 0.5 WTE post, salary is paid on a pro-rata basis.
Full-time equivalent scale (7 points): €72,407 – €74,470 – €76,538 – €78,602 – €80,667 – €82,729 – €83,520
The maximum point (€83,520) is a Long Service Increment (LSI), payable after 3 years on the preceding maximum.
