Job Overview

The Senior Pharmaceutical Technician Louth role at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to support and lead within a dynamic hospital pharmacy team. This permanent wholetime position plays a key role in delivering safe and effective medication management to both inpatients and outpatients as part of a comprehensive pharmacy service.

This post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is based within the HSE Dublin and North East region.

Key Responsibilities

Support and lead the pharmacy technician team in daily operational duties
Ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications
Assist in the provision of pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients
Maintain compliance with medication safety standards and hospital policies
Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department
Work collaboratively with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

Recognised qualification as a Pharmaceutical Technician
Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or eligibility to register
Relevant hospital pharmacy experience
Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
