Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is a leading provider of residential, day, respite, assessment, and clinical services for individuals with intellectual disabilities across Ireland. We are seeking an experienced Social Care Leader / Designated Centre Administrator to join our dynamic team in Limerick, supporting over 6,500 people and their families with varying degrees of intellectual disability, autism, and additional support needs.

About the Role

This full-time temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage social care services in our Limerick Community Services location. As Social Care Leader / Designated Centre Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality care delivery while maintaining compliance with HIQA standards and regulations. This management-level role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to Personal Lifestyle Planning for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise social care staff teams to deliver excellent person-centered care
  • Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards and regulations across all service areas
  • Implement and oversee Personal Lifestyle Planning for service users
  • Provide administrative leadership for the designated centre operations
  • Develop and manage staff rosters including evening and weekend shifts
  • Write comprehensive reports and maintain accurate documentation systems
  • Participate in on-call duties to ensure 24/7 service continuity
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service quality
  • Manage budgets and financial resources effectively

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, or relevant discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in staff management, motivation, and supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call arrangements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level 6 qualification in People Management or equivalent
  • 1-3 years management experience in social care settings
  • Experience working with budgets, accounts, and financial management
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and database management
  • Knowledge of residential care needs and training programmes for adults with intellectual disabilities
