As a Staff Nurse / Enhanced Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred care, supporting individuals to achieve the highest possible standard of health and wellbeing within the community.
Job Overview
This Staff Nurse Galway role involves providing professional nursing care in line with best practice standards, HIQA regulations, and organisational policies. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to service users.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Administer medications safely in accordance with guidelines and policy.
- Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all service users.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.

- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and safeguarding procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and commitment to best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Enhanced nursing skills and relevant experience (desirable).
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary for this role aligns with the Staff Nurse – General (Grade 2135) scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025) and in accordance with public sector pay policy.
