About the Role
As a Staff Nurse General at our acute healthcare facility, you’ll work as an integral part of multi-disciplinary teams delivering coordinated, high-quality patient care. This rolling campaign offers opportunities across various specialties including ICU, CCU, Emergency Department, Theatre, and Medical/Surgical units, allowing you to develop diverse clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to the highest professional and ethical standards
- Provide holistic, person-centred care that promotes optimum independence and quality of life
- Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and care records
- Adhere to nursing best practices and hospital protocols across specialized units
- Support patient and family education throughout the care journey
- Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Degree in General Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1-2 years post-graduation nursing experience preferred
- Current CPR certification and relevant clinical training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in acute healthcare settings
- Specialized training in ICU, CCU, Emergency Department, or Theatre nursing
- Additional certifications in specialized nursing areas
- Experience working with electronic health record systems
- Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice
