About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse General to join our team at Tipperary University Hospital. This specified purpose wholetime position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care across various acute general nursing areas while working with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in one of Ireland’s leading regional hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across acute general nursing units
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
- Support patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Degree in General Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience in acute general nursing practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous HSE experience in acute care settings
- Specialized training in relevant clinical areas
- Additional certifications in acute care nursing
- Experience with electronic health records systems
- Postgraduate qualifications in nursing or healthcare
