An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse Theatre Cavan role within the HSE Dublin and North East region. This permanent wholetime position offers the chance to work in a dynamic theatre environment delivering high-quality perioperative care.
This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and provides strong career development within Ireland’s public health service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care within the theatre department in accordance with professional standards.
- Assist in the preparation, support, and recovery of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary theatre teams.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Previous theatre nursing experience desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the Staff Nurse – General (Grade 2135) scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025) .
