Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a dedicated Grade V Haematopoietic Stem Cell Administrator to join our specialized healthcare team in Dublin. This permanent full-time position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in life-saving stem cell treatments for children.
About the Role
As a Stem Cell Administrator, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of haematopoietic stem cell procedures and administrative processes within our pediatric healthcare facility. You will work closely with medical teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance in this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage haematopoietic stem cell collection, processing, and storage procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Liaise with medical teams, laboratory staff, and external healthcare providers
- Oversee quality assurance processes for stem cell banking and transplantation procedures
- Manage scheduling and coordination of stem cell donation and transplantation appointments
- Ensure adherence to strict safety protocols and contamination prevention measures
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain comprehensive databases of stem cell activities
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Relevant healthcare qualification or equivalent administrative experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in healthcare administration or laboratory environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in healthcare information systems and databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hematology, oncology, or transplantation services
- Knowledge of stem cell banking and transplantation procedures
- Certification in healthcare administration or related field
- Experience with regulatory compliance in healthcare settings
