Team Leader Disability Services Galway

The Team Leader Disability Services Galway role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and support frontline teams delivering high-quality services to individuals with disabilities in Knocknacarra, Co. Galway. This permanent wholetime position is ideal for experienced Social Care Leaders or CNM1 professionals ready to take on a dynamic leadership role.

Working within a publicly funded Section 38 organisation, you will play a key part in ensuring person-centred, rights-based services that promote independence, dignity and inclusion.

Job Overview

As Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations within disability services, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care delivery. You will provide leadership, supervision, and professional guidance to staff while supporting service users to achieve meaningful outcomes aligned with their individual plans.

This is a permanent wholetime position based in Knocknacarra, Co. Galway, within the HSE West and North West health region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team delivering disability services
• Ensure person-centred planning and service delivery in line with HIQA standards
• Support staff through mentoring, supervision and performance management
• Promote safeguarding, quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate care plans and ensure service users’ goals are actively supported
• Manage rostering, reporting and operational requirements
• Liaise with families, advocates and external stakeholders
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Social Care, Nursing, or related discipline
• Eligible for registration with the appropriate professional body (if applicable)
• Experience at Social Care Leader (SCL) or CNM1 level
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
• Strong knowledge of disability services and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Full clean driving licence (desirable)

Salary will be aligned with the Social Care Leader (Grade 3030) scale in accordance with public sector pay policy and consolidated health sector salary scales .
