About the Role
Our Senior Commercial Lawyer Dublin position sits at the heart of Deloitte’s legal operations, providing strategic commercial legal guidance across all service lines. You’ll advise engagement teams on complex contracting issues while shaping legal risk management strategies for Ireland’s premier professional services organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise Deloitte engagement teams on commercial contracting matters including engagement agreements, public and private sector tenders, and master service agreements
- Proactively engage with business units to identify, assess and evaluate legal risks while offering commercial and creative solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning and provide practical legal guidance including training delivery across service lines
- Exercise superior business judgment in complex legal decision-making scenarios
- Support cross-service line commercial contract work throughout Deloitte’s Irish operations
- Lead ad-hoc legal team projects and risk group initiatives
- Provide legal support to the Irish firm and wider Deloitte network on commercial, governance, compliance and regulatory matters
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience from top-tier law firm
- Proven in-house legal team experience in commercial legal environments
- Expert knowledge of legal concepts with extensive practical experience in commercial contracts management and negotiation
- Exceptional communication skills including presentation abilities for diverse internal audiences
- Strong organizational capabilities with proven multitasking and priority management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 or major professional services experience advantageous
- Public sector tendering knowledge beneficial for government contract work
- Cross-jurisdictional legal experience valuable for international Deloitte network support
