Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant with Servisource, you will play a key role in supporting residents with personal care and daily living, helping to maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life. This is a rewarding, hands-on position suited to someone with a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
- Monitor and record residents’ conditions and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
- Assist residents with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair and supporting independent movement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in line with infection control standards.
- Support residents with social activities and contribute to their emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Assist with administrative tasks including updating patient records and relevant documentation.
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or care setting is an advantage.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Garda Vetting required prior to commencement.
- Good working knowledge of infection control and health and safety standards.
- Full legal authorisation to work in Ireland is essential — employment permits and visa sponsorship are not available for this role.
Salary
€18.01 – €22.57 per hour, depending on experience. This is a permanent, full-time position.

This role is based in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, serving the local community in an in-person care environment. Carrick-on-Shannon is the county town of Leitrim and a growing hub for healthcare services in the North West region.
